3-hour Protective Behaviours Education Workshop
The 3-hour Protective Behaviours Education Workshop includes modules regarding the following:
- What is Child Sexual Assault (CSA) and the need for Protective Behaviours Education
- Protective Behaviours Education, including topics such as:
- The 5 Body Safety Rules
- Safe and unsafe secrets
- Safe and unsafe touch
- Boundaries, consent and children’s rights
- Guidance about age and stage-appropriate communication about private body parts and sexual matters
- Identifying and understanding emotions
- Actions children can take if they are feeling worried or unsafe
- Grooming red flags
- Indicators of sexual abuse
- Handling disclosures of sexual abuse
- Online safety and pornography
- Interactive activities designed to teach participants body safety (protective behaviours) essentials in an engaging manner
- Free, easy-to-use resources and worksheets that workshop attendees can use with children
- An extra 30-minute Q&A time with the facilitators after the workshop
The workshop content can be adapted to meet the specific needs of your training participants and training timeframe.
